Bananna Leaf is a pretty famous Malaysian restaurant in Vancouver with many branches. It has won many awards, and is recommended by Tourism Vancouver as well.
Before leaving Vancouver, my dear roomie Elsa, invited me to have a bite there.

What's poutine? It's one of the must-eat food in Canada according to my room-mate Debbie. The first time I heard it, I kept wondering whether "pudding" is really something famous in Vancouver. Then, after some explanation, I finally figured out what it is. It's just fries topped with gravy and cheese, which priced about CAD$5 a plate in Taiwan.
For a heavy coffe drinker like me, it's a huge cost to buy a medium coffee a day. It costs about CAD$2 to get a cup and sometimes it is not strong enough. To be just, their light coffees are much stronger than City Cafe coffee at the 7-Elevens in Taiwan. Those City Cafe coffees taste like water and I would never go back and buy from them.
It's the end of the term. Some of the Penticton Trip fellows are going back to their countries since their exchange term has ended. Christine, Jaya, Liz and Miriam suggested that we should have a farewell dinner before leaving. About half of the group came. We dined at a Korean restaurant downtown with 2 Korean friends to suggest what we should order.
This was the second gather around with Penticton Trip mates. Jaya, our Indian friend suggested we should try some traditional Indian dishes. She proposed to go to this all-you-can-eat buffet as our Sunday Brunch. According to her professional opinion, the restaurant is really Indian.
