It is said that there are only 2 Crateva religiosa in Taipei, Taiwan. The mandarin name for the tree is quite curious. I couldn't figure out why it is named like that though. The kind of tree is also know as sacred garlic pear and temple plant, according to wikipedia.

A white-eye (Zosterops japonicus) perching between the branches of the temple plant. Could you find where it is?

苦楝 / 苦苓 (Melia azedarach Linn)

Melia azedarach Linn looks a lot like Koelreuteria henryi Dummer without blossoming. It normally blossom in early March.

During March, Chionanthus retusus blossoms and brings a false feeling of snow in spring or summer as the white flowers blossom on top of green leaves.

Rhododendron kanehirai is the only kind of Rhododendron that is origin in Taiwan. 

During Feburary and March every year, Rhododendron would blossom all over NTU campus. Their renowned beauty has attracted many visitors all over the city.
