Taiwanese Beef Stew
This is the last pre-made main course before going back to Taiwan.
Ingredients:
1. Boneless Beef Ribs
T&T would have it on sale each couple of weeks. The price would down to around $3.99/lb, although it's harzardous to cut the big chop into little pieces with a small fruit knife.
2. Taiwanese Soy Sauce
It's around $2.99 for 3 packs when it is on sale at T&T.
5. Tofu
It's around $1.68 for 2 boxes when on sale at T&T.
6. Tomatoes
Fresh Tomatoes, esp those on veins, become very expensive during winter times. It can cost up to $1.99/lb at SaveOn or Safeway. Maybe I should consider going to grocery shops to get fresh veggies instead.
7. Onions
Onion prices get quite nasty during winter times as well. Onions would look smaller and much uglier but still cost the same per pound. With large consumption of onions, the best way is to get a bag of 3 kg when on sale.
Recipe:
1. Boil the beef cubes with hot water to get rid of excess blood.
2. Cook ingredients together, add 1+2+6+7 first, 3+4+5 go in after 2 hours or so.
