Well, it's like a last minute visit to parks around metro Vancouver. Besides, since it's near Metrotown, I could get a view on the crazy sale of Boxing Day there and the beauty of the lake on the same day.

Unfortunately, it's not a good day for going around a lake since it's a frosty day and areas around Metrotown snowed. As a result, with the much colder air and warmer water, areas around the lake was foggy! There was nothing to see except fog.

How to get to Burnaby Lake Park from UBC?

檢視較大的地圖

The easiest way is get to Metrotown first than trasfer to Bus #110 there. It takes up to 2 hours to get to the lake due to there aren't many Bus #110 around.

I didn't alk around the whole lake since it's too foggy and slippery. I started walking from Burnaby Sport Complex, then walked down Sperling Ave then turn left on Robers St., then took the trails (Pavillon Trail and Freeway Trail) there. I am kind of regretted it that I didn't ask the bus driver to let me off at Piper Avenue Entrance instead. The trails I took is near Highway #1 and it's quite noisy while walking with lots of cars nearby, although it's less scarier in the fog alone with the noise.

It was so cold that there was even a thin layer of ice on the lake.
