I hated the idea of secret Santa since it's the end of the term and I need to make time to go shopping for gifts. And oftentimes, secret Santa thing goes wrong since people end up hating the gifts. But I got lucky this time, and it really worth it when I saw the happy face of the gift receiver.

As a secret Santa with a budge of 12 dollars (without tax), it was hard to buy things. Everything seems to be over 12 dollars. It's about 14 dollar something with taxes (GST [5%] and PST [7%], food and grocery are witout PST).  Maybe the best strategy is to buy something less than 12 dollars without tax and add up something else. As a result, my present is a mixture of 3 pieces. (All the gifts are from Granville Island.)

I have to say, Granville Island is an amazing place to walk around, but the artifacts there are quite expensive. (Maybe I should get a hand-dyed silk scarf for Mum, but they are too expensive.)

A box of strawberry:  $1.50 (It's $3 for 2 boxes, I kept one box for myself though, sorry.) → Everyone loves strawberries, doesn't she? (I am lucky that someone does love strawberries.)

The bear: $8.99 (without tax) → $10.07 (with tax) [I loved the bear as well, it was really adorable, but it was made in China...........argh......]

The chocolate @ Rogers (a chocolate store founded in 1885 in Victoria): $2.50 (without tax) → $2.63 with tax [I ate some samples at the chocolate store, they're amazing...Hope this one also taste well.]
