For all the food stands in the SUB, Koya Japan is by far my favorite. Perhaps the cooking style is more like that of Taiwan, and the rice tasted much better than Manchu Wok. Furthermore, all the "yaki" meat are cooked on the "teppan (iron griddle)" after ordering. They even have lunch specials everyday, and it's a really good deal. I loved the combination of meat (usu. beef) and vegetables from Koya Japan. It costs around CAD$ 7.89 (without PST) for a large servings, and CAD$5.89 (without PST) for a small one.

Nevertheless, it's really expensive for an international student. I did avoid eat-out after a couple of weeks, or I should say, after I figured out where to get groceries and the average price for uncooked ingredients.
