Although Christmas in Taiwan is normally so commercialized that it has lost its true meaning of sharing or being thankful for the greatness of the Christian God. Nevertheless, it's a great treat to people who love taking photos to wander around Shin-Yi District to catch the moments of brightness. 

I love the combination of star lights, and the different layers shown a sense of stereoscopy. 

Bella Vita

Bella Vita is a department store in the area that is known for its pricy goods and excessive decorations. I was stunned by the building style since it's reminds me vividly of Burrard Bridge in Vancouver. But Burrard Bridge is Art Deco Style, while Bella Vita seems to be a mixture of Roman arcs and Baroque architecture. (Ha...I need some more classes in building styles and arts again.)

There is a water dance around 9PM outside Bella Vita. Since it's Christmas, they design the show with the colours of Christmas - green and red, with Christmas carols as its background music.

It's kinda ridiculous since my friends and I witnessed 3 or 4 couples shooting in their wedding dresses in an hour at the fountain outside Bella Vita.

Another Christmas tree in the area. Well, I have to say I got bored somehow.

Snoopy!!!!

Well, there was a huge crowd trying to shoot with cute snoopy....please just ignore the partial head in the right corner.

Crowds!!!!

The tallest Christmas tree in the area, around 4-story high. And of course. lots of people cramming in the area. 

The following are lights and bulbs on the Christmas tree. It's seems that partial shots can be much better than trying to get a full shot of the tree in the horrible human sea.

Street performers.

There are more street performers in Taiwan nowadays. I didn't recall many in my childhood. But the question is, they seems to give performance in a more Western style, WHERE ARE THE TRADITIONAL STREET PERFORMERS OF TAIWAN?

A decoration in the far end of the area, which features a pop-up Christmas card and gifts. Good for making your own card and send to friends, eh?
